The kitchen opens, and it’s showtime. You gather your team, give a motivating pep talk, and ensure everyone’s ready to deliver excellence. You oversee the flow of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes meet our standards in both taste and presentation. You make sure that everything in the kitchen runs smoothly. You are also responsible for ensuring that all chefs have what they need. You order extra when needed. There is no limits to what you can do. In addition, you will be:
- A flying keeper. That means that during busy times you do not only overlook but jump in where it is needed.
- Responsible for the hygiene. You keep an eye on it and direct where necessary to keep everything clean and tidy.
- The leader that supervises that everyone is doing their tasks correctly.
Your new job is mainly during evening hours.

On a lovely, sunny day, you can choose between a 10-minute walk or a 5-minute cycle ride from the central station. Or you can hop on the tram from the other side of our hotel. Don’t work, do what you love instead
If anyone has a true passion for food, it is you. And you know rich gastronomy above all. You are always busy trying out new tastes and dishes. You work in a clean and orderly manner, and you enjoy working with others. And that’s great because here, you will communicate closely with all departments, not only the kitchen. You must have:
- At least two years of experience as a junior sous chef.
- Preferably an SVH chef’s diploma or another similar diploma.
- Knowledge of the HACCP regulations or the willingness to follow the training course for this.
We offer

- A monthly gross salary of between €3.176 - €4.027 in accordance with scale 8 of the Collective Labour Agreement for the Dutch hospitality and catering industry.
- A contract of 38 hours per week.
- 25 leave days and time off for any overtime.
- Extra day off during your birthday month.
- A travel allowance up to €200 per month, on the basis of the actual number of kilometres.
- A night-shift allowance of 20% and a Sunday allowance of 5%.
