RWE Offshore Wind Netherlands B.V.
To start as soon as possible, full time, permanent
We are seeking an experienced Asset Integrity Manager to lead the asset integrity and engineering function for OranjeWind. This senior role is responsible for the wind farm’s long-term technical performance, reliability, and integrity across all systems, including turbines, electrical infrastructure, balance of plant (BoP), and OT systems. The role oversees maintenance strategy, engineering governance, and continuous improvement to optimize availability, reliability, and lifecycle value.
RWE is currently constructing the OranjeWind offshore wind farm in the Netherlands, 85 kilometers off the coast of Den Helder with a capacity of 795 MW. Featuring the latest high-tech Vestas V236 15 MW turbines, OranjeWind will deliver first power in 2027. For the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) phase, we will deploy a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) to ensure efficient offshore logistics.
Your primary base will be the O&M facility in Den Helder. Until the new office is completed (expected Q4 2026), you will work remotely and spend 1–2 days per week at RWE’s Utrecht office. You must be willing to travel offshore occasionally. A security screening may form part of the selection process.
About the role
- Lead the development of the wind farm’s operational setup and ensure full operational readiness at start-up.
- Recruit, lead, and develop the asset integrity team (5 FTE + interfaces to central teams), promoting a strong safety and performance culture.
- Act as the primary technical counterpart during the construction-to-operations handover, ensuring documentation, warranties, technical acceptances, and open issues are fully resolved.
- Hold overall responsibility for asset integrity across all components (WTG, HV systems, BoP, cables, OT and control systems).
- Ensure safe, reliable, and compliant performance of all assets in accordance with regulatory and certification requirements.
- Continuously optimize maintenance and repair strategies to drive performance, reduce costs, and mitigate technical risk.
- Develop and own the maintenance program, including procedures, work instructions and asset replacement planning.
Job requirements and experience
- 10+ years of experience in asset integrity, engineering, reliability, or operations within offshore wind, power generation, offshore energy, or comparable large-scale industrial environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering or asset integrity teams.
- Strong knowledge of offshore wind technologies, including WTG, HV systems, cables, BoP, and marine logistics.
- Experience in maintenance strategy development, reliability engineering, and lifecycle optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary projects and manage complex technical interfaces.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
