As our systems administrator, you’ll be the backbone of the computing infrastructure that drives our research. You’ll configure, maintain, and optimise systems while working closely with researchers to support their computational and design needs. In your first months, you’ll dive into our Linux‑based ecosystem, learning how our systems are built and used. You’ll discover the software behind IC design and deep learning applications. As you grow into the role, you’ll become an independent expert within a multidisciplinary team of technicians.

Job Requirements- You hold a BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- You love to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to computer hardware, software, and networking.
- You have a good understanding of the GNU/Linux operating system (RedHat and Debian‑based systems).
- You have experience with NFS, Firewalls, Account management, Bash/C Shell, Virtualisation, Python and C.
- You are comfortable with fundamental command‑line tools such as ssh, vim, find, awk and grep.
- You enjoy growing and are willing to learn and adapt to continually improve and optimise IT systems and infrastructure.
- You have good communication and interpersonal skills in English (B2 level). You will speak English with most of your colleagues.
- Duration of contract is 1 year Temporary with prospect of permanent.
- A job of 38 hours per week.
- A salary based on scale 10 (3.546 – 5.538) gross per month based on a full‑time contract (38 hours) of the CAO for Dutch Universities, plus 8% holiday allowance and an end‑of‑year bonus of 8.3%.
