Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Netherlands (EBPT NL) is part of the global Eurofins network, the largest harmonized bio/pharmaceutical GMP product testing laboratory network in the world. Our core business is GMP analytical testing for the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, supporting clients with regulatory-compliant solutions throughout the drug development lifecycle.

In addition to our strong foundation in testing, we also offer specialized GMP Manufacturing Services through our Manufacturing Business Unit. These services include Fill & Finish and compounding capabilities, supporting clients from clinical development through small-scale commercial supply.

Job Description

Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Netherlands is seeking Business Development Manager - Small Molecules & Manufacturing to strengthen our commercial team.

You will manage and grow existing accounts in the small molecules segment and drive new client acquisition in the small molecule drug market and for our manufacturing services. You act as a trusted advisor to pharmaceutical, biotech, and manufacturing clients, leveraging Eurofins' integrated service portfolio to deliver value across the drug development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Account Management:
    • Managing existing accounts in the small molecules segment, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in the pharmaceutical market.
    • Create and execute detailed account plans to drive retention and incremental growth.
  • New Business Development:
    • Small Molecule Market: Expand Eurofins' footprint by identifying and winning new accounts for GMP testing and related services, leveraging our reputation as a global leader in quality and compliance.
    • Manufacturing Services: Position Eurofins as a trusted partner for Fill & Finish and compounding solutions, targeting clinical trial material, orphan drugs, and small-scale commercial batches.
    • Execute cold acquisition strategies and lead generation through networking, industry events, and digital channels.
    • Build a strong pipeline and convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.
  • Consultative Selling:
    • Leverage in-depth knowledge of GMP regulations, small molecule analytics, and manufacturing requirements to provide tailored solutions.
    • Collaborate with internal experts to design customized Fill & Finish processes, including sterile filtration and class A/B cleanroom operations.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Operate effectively in a complex organization with multiple stakeholders across at least six business units, ensuring alignment and collaboration to deliver seamless client solutions.
  • Market Intelligence & Strategy:
    • Analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to Eurofins' commercial strategy.
    • Represent Eurofins at conferences and industry events to build brand awareness and generate leads.

Qualifications

  • M.Sc. In Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree from a Life Sciences and/or Chemistry University of Applied Sciences (HBO) or equivalent is also considered.
  • MBA or Ph.D. Is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development or account management in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Proven track record in cold acquisition and account management, ideally in GMP testing and/or CDMO services.
  • Strong understanding of GMP regulations and small molecule analytical/manufacturing requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and drive collaboration across multiple teams.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
  • You are located in the Netherlands and possess an active work permit.
