Your day to day:
Strategic Leadership & Team Development
Define and implement the F&B strategy aligned with voco® brand standards and the hotel’s mission.
Lead, coach, and inspire the Botanica and Ultramarijn teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
Recruit, train, and develop all F&B team members according to voco® standards.
Conduct regular performance reviews, set development goals, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance individual and team performance.
Promote teamwork, collaboration, and a lifestyle service culture across all F&B outlets.
Operational Excellence
Oversee all operational aspects of Botanica Restaurant, Ultramarijn Bar, Room Service, and Meeting & Events.
Ensure smooth daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, workflow, and task allocation, adjusting resources based on business demand.
Maintain and continuously improve operational procedures, SOPs, and quality standards in line with brand guidelines.
Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, Arbo, and HACCP regulations.
Monitor the maintenance, cleanliness, and proper use of all equipment, tools, and supplies; coordinate with engineering for repairs when required.
Guest Experience & Product Innovation
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop innovative food and beverage offerings, including menus, pairings, and seasonal promotions.
Research, forecast, and implement gastronomical and social trends to enhance guest experiences.
Ensure every team member is fully trained in product knowledge, service standards, and guest journey.
Actively create memorable branded experiences that reflect the voco® spirit and lifestyle service philosophy.
Financial Management
Drive financial performance by controlling costs, optimizing revenue, and ensuring profitability in line with budgets.
Oversee purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain for all F&B outlets, including beverages, consumables, and operational supplies.
Monitor sales, analyze trends, and implement strategies to increase revenue while maintaining quality and brand standards.
Brand & Community Engagement
Act as an ambassador for voco® The Hague, promoting the hotel and its F&B outlets in the local community.
Develop partnerships with local suppliers and vendors to enhance the uniqueness of offerings at Botanica and Ultramarijn.
Lead marketing and awareness initiatives in coordination with the hotel’s marketing team.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Proven experience in a F&B leadership role.
Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire staff.
Solid understanding of restaurant and bar operations, with experience in menu development, service standards, and operational processes.
Financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Passion for hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experience
