As CTO at S&dB, you spearhead the technological advancement of revolutionary seed-embedding technology and machinery for regenerative agriculture. You balance strategic vision with hands-on leadership, guiding the R&D team through development, industrialization, and scaling of the vSET planting machine, production line, and seed-tape technology.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Lead design, development and industrialization of vSET planting machine, production line, and seed-tape technology
• Structure innovation processes with clear milestones, deliverables and deadlines
• Oversee validation trials with growers and integrate customer feedback into product iterations
• Develop data strategy with R&D colleagues to substantiate value proposition
• Build, manage and train a multidisciplinary team across mechanical engineering, agronomy, data and automation
• Develop IP strategy and protect core technologies
• Collaborate with CEO and management team to translate technical developments into commercial opportunities
• Contribute to investor discussions by providing technical insights and progress reports

Job requirements:

• Master's degree in a technical field (agricultural engineering, mechanical engineering or similar)
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience with significant time in agricultural sector or agritech
• Proven track record scaling technical products from prototype to commercial application
• Experience leading multidisciplinary R&D teams and managing external partners
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
• Proficiency in MS Office and technical tools (CAD, data analysis software)
