About the roleThe Legal Contracts & Compliance team of Thales Netherlands seeks a Legal Counsel to work primarily in Hengelo, with options to work from the new Amsterdam office as of early 2027. The role involves a broad range of legal issues, including corporate law, contract law, employment law, claims and dispute resolution, compliance, real estate, and IT‑related matters within the Legal Corporate & Compliance team.
Responsibilities- Address and resolve complex legal matters across corporate, contractual, employment, claims, dispute, compliance, real estate, and IT domains.
Approximately 8 years of experience in a law firm or a legal department of an international company, preferably with a background managing a general practice (algemene praktijk) including HR related matters. Master’s degree in Dutch law. Excellent command of legal English. Consistency and proactivity in handling files. Ability to work independently. Commercial acumen and business understanding. Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, even in challenging environments. Strong analytical skills, including business, financial and technical aspects, and capability to mitigate risks and propose creative solutions in a complex environment.
Security RequirementsIn line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in The Netherlands, and employment and/or education history. This role also requires security clearance, which may lead to further evidence to be provided.
