To accelerate our growth and strengthen our strategic partnerships, we are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our international Sales team.

As a Senior Account Manager, you are more than a commercial driver. You are a strategic partner, growth accelerator, and trusted advisor. You will take ownership of key international accounts with significant commercial impact, shaping long‑term partnerships while identifying new growth opportunities in a fast‑evolving marine landscape.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Manage and further develop strategic and key customer accounts
• Define and execute long‑term account strategies aligned with business objectives
• Lead complex commercial negotiations and contract discussions
• Drive sustainable customer growth and identify new business opportunities
• Contribute to the development of regional sales strategies and market positioning
• Anticipate market trends and translate customer needs into business opportunities
• Act as a key commercial interface towards Product Development and Marketing
• Contribute to product roadmap discussions and go‑to‑market strategies
• Collaborate closely with Operations, After Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering
• Support joint customer opportunities with affiliated companies
• Represent Yanmar at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
• Share knowledge within the team and support the development of colleagues
• Take a leading role within the team when required

The ideal candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree (technical and/or commercial preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in sales or strategic account management
• Experience or strong affinity with the maritime industry
• Proven success managing complex, international customer accounts
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder, and relationship‑building skills
• Ability to influence across functions and seniority levels
• Excellent command of English (additional languages are a plus)

Applicants must currently reside in the Netherlands and be eligible to work in the country, including having a valid work permit or a valid passport.

Work location:

Your primary office location is in Almere, the Netherlands.
