As a Security Research Engineer (m/f/x), you play a crucial role in bridging security certification requirements and technological innovation. You ensure that products meet global security standards while collaborating with internal teams and external certification bodies. You can work fully remote, but you are based in The Netherlands.
The Job:
- Collaborating with third-party labs, engineers, and program managers to assess certification feasibility and completion
- Managing and overseeing certification processes, including technical documentation, network analysis, and feasibility studies
- Developing and maintaining project plans for security testing, including penetration testing and procurement of demo units
- Presenting program status updates at key milestones and program meetings
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting key certification requirements
- Identifying risks and proposing alternatives to optimize certification processes
Your Profile:
You are a security specialist with a strong analytical mindset and a proactive approach, based in The Netherlands. Additionally, you:
- Are fluent in English (and proficient in either Spanish or Dutch)
- Have at least 2-3 years of experience in Common Criteria (EUCC) and security certification processes
- Possess 6+ years of industry experience in IT networking and security
- Have a working knowledge of Cisco technologies (CCNA, CCNP, or similar certifications preferred)
- Understand networking technologies, including IDS/IPS, network access, routing, switching, cloud computing, and encryption
- Have strong documentation and technical writing skills to translate complex security requirements into clear certification processes
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including product teams, engineers, and external partners
- Can manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
