Weheat is re-engineering heat pumps because we believe this product plays a key role in the energy transition and deserves radical innovation. From our factory in Eindhoven, we develop and build our heat pumps. In our new hub in the center of Utrecht, everything the outside world sees comes together: commercial growth, our digital products, and support for installers and consumers. Eindhoven is the high-tech engine; Utrecht is the customer-focused heart.
What you’ll work onIn Utrecht you’ll work across our digital products (the consumer app, installer app and installer portal) together with designers, backend engineers, colleagues from our Expert Center and commercial teams. Through our link with Eindhoven, you’re never far from the actual devices your code talks to.
You'll bring structure to ambiguity, anticipate risks early, and make pragmatic trade-offs that move our digital products forward. You value clarity, performance, and simplicity in your work and delivery. You raise the technical bar through code, and reviews, and you find motivation in seeing your team deliver faster, safer, and better as a result.
What you bringWe’re looking for a hands-on Frontend Software Engineer who builds with purpose — connecting technical decisions directly to customer and business outcomes. You deliver reliable, maintainable software independently, and help those around you do the same.
We care more about your mindset and skills than a perfect checklist, but if we would it would look like this:
- You have 3+ year of experience building frontend applications.
- You’re comfortable integrating APIs and turning (real-time) data into clear, visual interfaces.
- You care about speed, simplicity and smart UX: fast apps, clean flows, minimal clutter.
- You chase efficiency and think in solutions: understand the problem, choose a sensible approach, ship and learn.
- You communicate directly and honestly and like colleagues who do the same.
- You like high-trust, high-ownership environments where you pick things up end-to-end instead of waiting for detailed tickets.
- You live within reach of Utrecht and are happy in an on-site culture as we believe our best work happens together, on site.
- You’re comfortable in English, Dutch is a plus.
