SALES MANAGER B2B – REST OF WORLD (GLOBAL ROLE)
As a Sales Manager you are co-developing and executing the commercial strategy of our operating company. In line with the overall sales strategy, your responsibility is to achieve sales targets (volume, margin, product mix and customer portfolio growth) concerning our customers globally. You will handle an assigned customer portfolio but your main responsibility is the acquisition of new customers and business. Filling this role you will fuel the growth ambitions we have for our food business. This position will be based in our headquarters in Maassluis, the Netherlands.
YOUR MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE
- Relationship management for long term partnerships with international clients;
- Strong focus on market knowledge and general global developments, in order to operate pro-active and agile in a volatile market;
- Secure the sales plan through acquiring and retaining accounts, structure and strengthen relations in order to realize commercial objectives;
- Price & negotiate excellence and ensuring that agreements are respected;
- Commercially driven, by being for instance sensitive to customer specific demands and translating them to the product and services within the product portfolio;
- Reaching the targets and goals set for your area;
- Visiting customers;
- Updates job knowledge by attending food tradeshows, conferences, maintaining personal networks;
- Working closely together with colleagues from several departments to translate customer requirements to optimize internal processes and maintain a high customer satisfaction;
- Maintaining a professional attitude in behavior and appearance.
- Organizing the sales process for efficient closures;
- Building sales plans to execute throughout the team;

We are looking for a high performing sales professional experienced in the field of global sales and business development in a food environment. You are an outperformer and ready for a new and challenging assignment in a leading global company. You are energetic and excellent in relationship management and able to let the customer portfolio grow. Additionally, you are strong in price excellence and able to deal with volatile markets. Intercontinental travel is crucial part of your job and it will take up to 30% of your time.
- Ability to easily connect with the customers of different cultures in various, positions and disciplines;

- HBO/WO Degree
- Proven track record and network in the industry;
- Minimal 5 years of work experience in a Sales position;
- Business development knowledge and experience;
- Excellent skills in both writing and speaking English and Dutch. Skills in a third foreign language such as Spanish or French is highly preferable.
