We are looking for a Senior Manager Sales, Protein Ingredients to help capture this opportunity and further expand Bunge’s position across Europe.
This is a senior, externally focused sales role, based in Zaandam, the Netherlands, with regular on‑site presence and flexibility for regional travel.
Your roleAs Senior Manager Sales, Protein Ingredients, you are a key commercial representative of Bunge in Europe. You will focus on developing new customer opportunities while growing selected strategic accounts, positioning Bunge as a trusted partner across applications spanning Distribution, Fermentation, and Plant‑Based solutions for Feed and Food.
You will operate in close alignment with another senior sales counterpart, contributing jointly to regional growth, while independently owning customer relationships and commercial execution within your scope.
This role suits someone who enjoys being close to customers, opening doors, and converting opportunity into sustainable, profitable business in a technically complex market.
Key responsibilities- Drive sales and profitability of Bunge’s plant-based protein ingredient portfolio across Europe
- Develop new customer relationships and expand existing key and strategic accounts
- Execute regional commercial strategies, including portfolio focus, pricing, margin management, priorities, and supply considerations
- Work cross‑functionally with operations, supply chain, R&D, and marketing to unlock value and ensure strong execution
- Represent Bunge in senior‑level customer interactions and at relevant industry events
- Contribute to demand planning and forecasting activities
- Collaborate closely with peers and internal stakeholders to support consistent, sustainable growth
While experience in protein ingredients is a strong advantage, sales leadership and commercial drive are the most important success factors in this role.
- Senior sales experience in food ingredients
- A strong track record of developing markets and creating customer demand
- Solid understanding of ingredient solutions and customer value drivers
- High business acumen and comfort working in cross‑functional, international organizations
- A proactive, resilient approach and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Food Science, Chemistry, Meat Science, or similar
- Minimum 7 years of senior level commercial experience in the food industry
- Willingness to travel extensively across Europe (typically 2–3 days per week), spending significant time with customers and partners
- A senior sales role at a transformational moment for Bunge’s Protein Ingredients business
