We’re looking for an experienced PHP Back-End Developer to join a fast-moving e-commerce environment where performance, clean architecture, and scalability matter. You’ll work on technically complex projects, collaborate closely with front-end teams, and help deliver high-quality solutions for well-known brands. Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain back-end solutions in PHP for e-commerce platforms
- Build clean, scalable, and maintainable code using solid engineering principles
- Collaborate with front-end developers to deliver smooth end-to-end functionality
- Work with MySQL databases (queries, performance, structure improvements)
- Contribute to CI/CD workflows and support automated deployment practices
- Use Git for version control and collaborate via structured code changes
- Participate in a Scrum-based development process (planning, reviews, retros)
- Troubleshoot issues and optimize application performance where needed
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and stakeholders to align on delivery
- Take responsibility for your work and actively contribute to continuous improvement
- Fluent Dutch speaker, currently living in the Netherlands (mandatory)
- 5+ years of professional PHP development experience
- Strong knowledge of modern PHP development and best practices
- Familiarity with concepts like OOP, DRY, KISS
- Hands-on experience with MySQL
- Strong working knowledge of Git and structured version control workflows
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
- Solid Linux knowledge (experience with Nginx is a plus)
- Ability to multitask and switch efficiently between different projects
- Experience working in a Scrum / Agile environment
- Strong communication skills and confident ownership of tasks
- Bonus: experience with Magento and/or Laravel
