Field Service Engineer (Southern Netherlands)

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be a professional service provider in the water treatment industry. You’ll be providing on-site services for our customers in the southern Netherlands region. The following activities are a guideline; others can be part of the job scope.

Job responsibilities:

• Installation and commissioning of water treatment systems for customers from various sectors.
• You resolve malfunctions quickly and professionally, both on site and by telephone. In addition, you carry out preventive maintenance to avoid problems.
• You will inform users about the correct use and maintenance of the systems.
• One week per month, you will work as a service engineer in the breakdown service, providing expert support where necessary.
• Finally, you will ensure that everything is kept up to date by reporting your work and passing on orders for parts to the administration department.

Required qualifications:

• Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical engineering background
• Minimum of 5 years of lab, plant, or maintenance experience preferably connected to water treatment
• Language : NL/ENG

• Computer literate including knowledge on programmable Logic Controller (PLC) base control systems
• Strong communications skills (written, verbal, and listening)
• Familiarity with water treatment processes and applications
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Customer service experience
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen- results oriented
• Ability to be a team player
• Self-initiative and motivation with the ability to work independently
• Strong organizational skills
• Contractor supervision if required
• Participation in Piloting and Field trials when required
• Participating in the local team meetings to share best practices
