Bergen Logistics, a 3PL focused on fashion and lifestyle brands, is growing! We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to facilitate this growth.
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the daily operations in the warehouse and for planning activities that ensure an effective and profitable business. This position requires a hands‑on leadership style with an innovative and critical mindset aimed at improving efficiency and productivity. The Warehouse Manager will play an important role in improving and restructuring the existing and rapidly growing business and operations.
The Warehouse Manager is Responsible to- Manage warehouse operations and create a good workflow that ensures objectives and customer service agreements are met.
- Responsible for achieving financial targets.
- Lead and contribute to the development of a well‑functioning team; directly managing four supervisors and indirectly managing the entire warehouse team (currently about 50 people).
- Conduct performance and appraisal interviews.
- Maintain contact with staffing agencies and their temporary workers.
- Promote “total customer satisfaction” (delivery, quality, etc.) throughout the operations team.
- Identify and resolve critical and operational problems.
- Determine staffing needs within the warehouse as part of operational planning/budgeting.
- Set goals, plans, and budgets for each department within the warehouse.
- Initiate improvements to procedures to optimize costs, quality, and delivery times.
- Responsible for warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Implement shopfloor management and CIP in daily operations.
- You have a bachelor‑level education (HBO) and at least 3 years of leadership experience in logistics, preferably in supply chain logistics/fashion.
- Strong leadership skills; able to motivate, manage, train, and achieve KPIs.
- Thrive in a hectic work environment and can handle extreme (seasonal) pressure.
- Proactive and solution‑oriented, with the ability to handle conflict situations well.
- Excellent communication skills; fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
- Able to analyze, report, and manage data; experience with forecasting and financial planning is a plus.
