The role “Front desk officer” is a role with many different tasks:
- Welcome clients, drivers and visitors;
- Make driver documents and attach all the necessary other docs (If desk operator is there, only preparation is needed);
- Contact with customer and suppliers by e-mail and phone;
- Order entry and further administration in the WMS (Navision) and some additional handlings of the SAP system of the customer;
- Work in shared office folder internally and with the customer(s) (externally);
- Prepare VAS orders for the operators and (if applicable) create the belonging labels;
- Communicate with operators by walkie-talkies about operational topics and urgent (un)loading requests from the customer;
Some extra notes you have to think about:
- Sometimes it can be stressful. Especially when your colleagues have holiday;
- Working times are normally from 08:00 – 16:30 h (One person works from 0700 h till 1530 h and one person works from 0900 h till 1730 h. This is always in consultation: fixed between the colleagues for what is possible for everybody). But, like everywhere in logistics, it can be a little later on some occasions (Not a lot, but during holidays for sure);
- At least Dutch and English speaking; Any extra language is an advantage;
Offer based on a 40 hourly workweek:
- Contract for 1 year with a month trial period; (Of course the goal is to give you an indefinite contract after this year)
