Category Manager Network Infrastructure - Fixed Term Contract - max. 14 months (m/f/d)

Key Accountabilities:


• Analyze and agree the purchase requests and the technical specifications, collaborating when necessary with the budget holders in the creation of the specifications.
• Promote, supervise and fulfil activities for getting and managing demand from different OBs. Manage the identification of budgets and their availability and accuracy as per the budgeting criteria in Telefónica.
• Promote and contribute to homogenization of the specifications of the products/services under his/her manage, with the aim of easing the purchase management, taking advantage of the existing synergies and improving the negotiation results.
• Supervise and fulfil the purchase processes accurately, including recording of the purchase information in the procurement systems (ACM-GEP).
• Manage the global purchases of products/services under his/her responsibility, defining the purchase strategy oriented to obtain the best results in the negotiation and the satisfaction of the internal client.
• Manage the request, reception, analysis and homogenization of supplier offers and negotiation with them, fostering electronic negotiation (e-sourcing) and using e-auction as the preferred bidding modality.
• Lead negotiations with vendors according to the objectives of every purchase
• Present the purchase strategy, the receive bids and the award proposal at the Purchasing Committee
• Ensure and promote optimization and proper use of the product line supplier base, maximizing concurrency, considering the quality and service levels provided by the management areas of the different companies.
• Promote the development and implementation of best practices.
• To promote synergies and cooperation opportunities with associated companies, and market prospection for alternative sourcing.


What you bring along?


• University degree in Electronic/Telecommunications/Electric Engineering, Computer Science or relevant studies according to the Categories identified.
• At least 3 years of proven technical experience in the targeted areas or proven experience managing those or equivalent categories.
• Technical acknowledge of one or more of the Categories identified.
• Technical acknowledge of the Telefónica's networks structures and technologies used
• Acknowledge of the Operating Model in the Telefónica Group.
• Knowledge of Telefonica's Procurement Model and the correspondent Rules.
• Negotiation and influencing skills, to be applied with suppliers.
• Knowledge of the market and suppliers of the product/services under his/her responsibility.
• Customer-focused skills, to deliver the best possible service to Telefonica's companies.
• Results and objective oriented
• Team building and team working attitude.
• Knowledge on how to use procurement systems and e-commerce tools (ACM, e-Sourcing, ACW y Ariba Buyer, GEP).
• MS Office (set of applications) and other application systems in the Procurement and finances area (ACM, e-Sourcing, ACW y Ariba Buyer, Salesforce, etc.).
• Project management.
