The Service Quality Engineer is responsible to guarantee that parts requested to be analyzed and repaired are correctly managed, supporting Service and Customer Quality. Under his responsibility: supporting in the returning flow and management of external and internal repair centers, preparing and reviewing repair procedures, defining and monitoring KPIs of the process in order to guarantee Customer Satisfaction. You will work closely with Customer Quality and Service Team, by interfacing with Process Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supplier Quality and Suppliers involved in repair operation. You will act with safety, efficiency, quality and productivity to assure that products supplied meet stated requirements. You will provide assistance with and maintain the quality management system, managing all aspects in line with guidance from ABB Group/division/business area. This role is based in our Valdarno, IT facility. Report to: Local Product Group Quality Manager

Your responsibilities
  • Support in parts to be repaired incoming activities, improve and standardize return flow.
  • Manage external repair center and provide status on time repair, backlog and failure analysis accuracy.
  • Support and assist internal and external repair centers.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation to support service repair operations.
  • Work on the definition and implementation of the service spare parts.
  • Support definition of troubleshooting procedure for field failures and field returns based on product requirements.
  • Define process and procedure for external repair center; Create dedicated report for KPI related to external repair process.
  • Be active part on the quality improvement process reporting lesson learnt.
Your background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Electrotechnical, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
  • Strongly oriented to Continuous improvement and problem solving, interacting with multidisciplinary teams including internal and external resources;
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP is an appreciable plus;
  • Good knowledge in the use of office software required: spreadsheet, database, word processing and presentation software;
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal) in English.
