Document Controller required for two months in Somerset, UK
The Document Controller will be responsible for controlling, maintaining, and supporting project documentation, with a particular focus on quality-related records. The role will see the Document Controller involved in quality walk-downs, providing support to inspection activities, but will not be required to carry out inspections directly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and control project and quality documentation in accordance with project and company procedures.
- Ensure documents are correctly issued, tracked, reviewed, and archived within document management systems.
- Support quality walk-downs by attending site activities and ensuring relevant documentation is available and up to date.
- Provide administrative and technical support to inspection and quality teams, including compiling records, reports, and certification packs.
- Liaise with engineering, construction, and quality teams to ensure documentation reflects site activities and project status.
- Maintain document registers, transmittals, and revision control.
- Support audits and quality reviews by preparing documentation and records as required.
Requirements / Skills
- Experience in document control or document management within engineering, construction, energy, or similar industries.
- Familiarity with quality systems, procedures, and document management tools.
- Comfortable working in a site environment and engaging with technical teams.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
