Are you someone who is passionate about supporting children with autism and making a positive difference every day?
A welcoming and supportive school in Hermitage is looking for an ASD Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils on the autism spectrum, helping them feel supported, understood, and confident in their learning environment.
In this role, you will provide tailored support to students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them with communication, routines, and emotional regulation. You'll be an important part of creating a calm, structured, and inclusive space where every child can thrive.
As an ASD Support Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with autism (ASD) in and out of the classroom
* Help create a consistent, nurturing, and structured environment
* Build positive and trusting relationships with students
* Support communication, social skills, and emotional development
* Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals
