How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ASD Support Assistant - Thatcham

    Location: Thatcham, SEN School

    Start Date: ASAP

    Pay Scale: £89.00- £100.00/ day

    Do you come from a background in ASD Support or Mental Health Support?

    A friendly and inclusive SEN School in Thatcham is looking for a new ASD Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to grow their experience working with Special Educational Needs and is excited to work in a specialist setting that caters to needs such as ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and other mental health needs.

    If you are a graduate looking to pursue a career in child psychology, this role offers an excellent foundation to build relevant experience. You will work alongside experienced professionals, supporting children on an individual basis to access education. This will provide valuable hands-on experience and insight from psychologists, therapeutic support workers, and SEN teachers, helping you develop the skills needed to effectively support each child's individual needs.

    This ASD Support Assistant role will involve:

    Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who have a SEN diagnosis (ASD)
    Deliver an adapted curriculum to suit individual needs
    Work with outer agency professionals
    Help to maintain a calm and supportive learning environmentThe school welcomes applications from experienced SEN Support Assistants, as well as individuals who are looking to pursue a career in children's mental health. A background in working with children is highly desirable.
