For our team in Birchwood Park, Warrington we are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to continue the development of tools to support early retrievals/ operations of the MSSS SEP machines.

This role requires an innovative individual with experience within this field.
This role will involve managing a small team of designer / engineers to understand the requirements, further specify requirements and to continue the development of bespoke tools, through concepts, trials and manufacture into fully deployable solutions.
In addition, the Principal Engineer will act as the single points of contact from initial request through to handover of a fully functional toll to MSSS plant operation teams.

To successfully carry out this role, it will be necessary to integrate and manage other groups such the SL Innovation teams, the site wide manufacturing capability and other contractors

Requirements

Understand the roles and specifications of CDM

*

Experience producing design packages, suitable for manufacture and installation, containing drawings, method statements, risks assessments

Familiarity and experience of working and complying with applicable SL practices, standard and engineering guides.

HNC/ HND/ Scientific or Engineering Degree
