The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

About the Role
We are recruiting experienced Support Staff to join our growing team across our CQC Supported Living, Ofsted Children's Home and Ofsted Supported Accommodation services.
Depending on the service, you will provide person-centred support to adults or young people, helping them develop their independence, confidence and life skills.
Your responsibilities may include:
* Providing safe, nurturing and person-centred support.
* Promoting independence and supporting individuals to achieve their goals.
* Supporting young people with life skills and preparation for independence.
* Providing emotional and practical support.
* Safeguarding adults, children and young people.
* Supporting positive behaviour and using trauma-informed approaches.
* Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
* Completing key-working and direct-work activities where appropriate.
* Maintaining professional records and following care and support plans.

Requirements
We are looking for experienced, reliable and compassionate support workers who are passionate about helping others.
Essential experience
Depending on the service, you should have experience in one or more of the following:
* Supported living or adult social care.
* Residential childcare or working within a children's home.
* Supported accommodation or similar settings.
* Promoting independence.
* Person-centred care and support.
* Safeguarding adults or children/young people.
* Behaviour support.
* Supporting young people to develop independence and life skills.
* Trauma-informed practice.
* Desirable qualifications
* Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
* Care Certificate
* Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
* Relevant Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People, Health & Social Care or a related field
Experience matters most. Qualifications are desirable, but Pearl Connexions recognises that experience, attitude and values can make the biggest difference. Strong candidates without the exact qualifications will still be considered.
