The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Service Engineer with experience across Plant and Agriculture to join a well-established and growing engineering business operating across Central Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on a wide range of modern agricultural and construction equipment within a busy and supportive depot environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for the servicing, repair and diagnostics of agricultural and plant machinery. You will be working both independently and as part of a skilled engineering team, supporting workshop operations and ensuring machinery is maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Service, repair and maintenance of agricultural and plant machinery
Carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on equipment
Fault finding and diagnostics using laptop-based systems
Working on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
Supporting ongoing manufacturer training with leading brands
Working as part of a busy engineering team
Supporting colleagues and assisting with workload where required
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standardRequirements
Experience in agricultural, plant, construction or similar machinery servicing
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems and diagnostics
Experience using diagnostic laptop systems preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
Strong team player with ability to work independently
Full UK Driving Licence
