The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Job description - the role
On a typical day as a Skilled Welder, you will be expected to; engage in Health and Safety activity, produce components at the highest Quality, follow Manufacturing Instructions and Data Cards and work to meet high volume requirements.
As a Skilled Welder you will be responsible for:
Maintaining our excellent quality standards, being an integral part of our manufacturing process.
Welding of Nickel, Steel and Alloys using various processes including TIG welding in accordance with defined specifications and procedures, as detailed within the Manufacturing Instructions and Data Cards.
The role will require you to work to tight tolerances, experience of this will need to be demonstrated at interview.
Work within strict HS&E guidelines, Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
We work within a cutting edge manufacturing facility, so a basic IT knowledge is essential.What we require from the candidate:
Completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship including City and Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline. (Original trade papers must be available for review at interview).
Experienced of Welding Aerospace standards.
Experience in working with Nickels/Steels and Alloys.
Ability to read and interpret design drawings (considered an asset).
Professional and flexible attitude, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
Able to willing to work a multi-shift pattern including nights.
Be self-motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
Understand how to maintain a clean and safe environment in the workplace and how to work to set deadlines to achieve performance targets.
An up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures.Next steps
