On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Project Lead for a 24 month contract based in Derby.

Please note this role is hybrid position in which you would be required to work onsite 3 days per week and work from home 2 days per week.

Project Lead Job Description

Purpose of the role:

Lead the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and to specification.
Act as the central coordination point between internal teams, global stakeholders, and external partners to drive alignment and execution.
Manage cost, risk, and resource planning across the project lifecycle to deliver expected commercial and operational benefits.

What you'll do as a Project Lead:

Be accountable for end-to-end delivery of defined projects/workstreams to cost, specification, and schedule.
Lead day-to-day project execution.
Develop and maintain key project management deliverables such as schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, and performance reports.
Ensure project costs are tracked and managed throughout the lifecycle, delivering expected cost benefits and contractual commitments.
Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and operational teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Provide clear reporting and insights to senior management, supporting effective decision-making.
Drive continuous improvement and implementation of project management best practices.

The skills you'll need as a Project Lead:

Proven experience in project or programme management.
Strong background in delivering large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects across supply chain and operations.
Demonstrated experience in financial planning, cost management, and delivering commercial outcomes.
Skilled in stakeholder management, with the confidence to engage global partners and senior stakeholders.
Experience using project management and ERP tools such as Primavera P6 and SAP.
