How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support engineering and workshop operations by capturing existing repair and overhaul activities, documenting best practice and developing structured engineering packs, work instructions and procedures that can be consistently applied across the business.

Acting as the link between Engineering and Operations, you will play a key role in standardising processes, improving workshop performance and ensuring valuable technical knowledge is effectively captured and maintained.

You'll join a collaborative environment where your ideas and contributions can directly influence operational efficiency, quality and overall business performance.

Whether you're an experienced Manufacturing Engineer or a mechanically qualified engineer looking to develop your career within project and process engineering, this position offers the chance to influence how maintenance and overhaul activities are delivered across the business.

    Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities

Process Development & Documentation: Create detailed work instructions, repair sequences, routings and engineering procedures to support maintenance and overhaul activities.

Workshop Process Capture: Work closely with technicians and workshop teams to understand, document and standardise existing repair processes.

Engineering Pack Creation: Produce and maintain comprehensive engineering packs to support overhaul and maintenance programmes.

New Programme Support: Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and the implementation of new engineering programmes.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve workshop efficiency, operational performance and product quality across the business.

Technical Problem Solving: Investigate technical issues, conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.

Training & Development: Develop training materials and supporting process documentation to ensure consistent working practices.

Performance Analysis: Analyse workshop performance data and make recommendations for process and operational improvements.

Engineering Governance: Ensure all engineering documentation remains accurate, controlled and aligned with operational requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production and workshop teams to embed best practice and support business objectives.

Operational Support: Support the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of maintenance, repair and overhaul activities.

    Ideal Manufacturing Engineer

Mechanical Engineering Degree Qualified: BEng in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Mechanical Engineering Experience: Strong mechanical engineering background with the ability to understand complex engineering processes.

MRO Knowledge: Understanding of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) environments and associated engineering practices.

Technical Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills with the ability to implement practical solutions.

Documentation Skills: Experience creating technical documentation, work instructions or manufacturing processes would be advantageous.

Workshop Collaboration: Experience working closely with workshop-based teams, technicians or fitters would be beneficial.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across engineering and operational teams.

Organisation & Attention to Detail: Highly organised with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency and quality.

Continuous Improvement Mindset: Passion for process improvement, operational excellence and driving positive change.
