Contract: Temporary to Permanent after 12 weeks (for the right candidate)
Shift pattern: 4 on / 4 off
Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm
The Role
GI Group are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Smart Repair Technician to join their clients busy automotive site in Grimsby. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract after 12 weeks based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Completing SMART repairs to a high standard (paintwork, bumpers, scuffs, scratches, minor dents, alloy wheel repairs where applicable)
· Preparing panels and surfaces ready for repair/paint
· Colour matching and blending to achieve a quality finish
· Working to site processes, health & safety standards, and productivity targets
· Reporting any additional damage/rectification required
Candidate Requirements
· Previous experience in SMART repair is required
· Full UK driving licence required
· Held for at least 2 years
· Must be 22 years of age or over (insurance requirement)
· Ideally 0 points / no endorsements
· Up to 3 points may be accepted depending on the endorsement code
· Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
· Reliable and able to commit to 12-hour shifts on a 4 on / 4 off rotation
