Compensation: £70,000 – £75,000 per annum
About the Role
Our client is a global leader in technology and e-commerce, committed to upholding the highest ethical standards across their global supply chain. We are currently seeking a Risk Investigator II to join their Human Rights and Social Impact team. Working closely with the client's Complaints Mechanism Lead and EMEA Regional Remediation Lead, you will play a critical role in managing, assessing, and resolving human rights and environmental complaints. This is a unique opportunity to leverage innovative AI-assisted classification tools while driving meaningful on-the-ground remediation and corrective actions across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Complaint Triage & Assessment: Monitor and triage incoming human rights and environmental complaints using our client's proprietary AI-assisted classification tool, ensuring accurate initial assessment and routing.
- Investigation Management: Create, update, and rigorously manage investigation records from initial intake through to resolution.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with internal business units to follow up on the implementation and progress of corrective action plans.
- Remediation Support: Provide core case management support for remediation efforts across the EMEA region.
- Tracking & Escalation: Monitor operational timelines closely, proactively escalating overdue cases or critical roadblocks to regional leadership.
Basic Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in social compliance, social auditing, or supply chain sustainability.
- Working knowledge of corporate grievance mechanisms and supply chain due diligence frameworks.
- Familiarity with recognized industry standards such as SA8000, SMETA, or the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to document complex investigations clearly and objectively.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple ongoing cases, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
