Responsibilities:
* Adhere to statutory regulations governing road haulage.
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and vehicle defect reporting.
* Keep vehicles clean (inside and out).
* Responsible for vehicles and loads.
* Checking Loading/Unloading.
* Reporting problems with deliveries.
* Responsible for obtaining signed receipts for deliveries and collections.
* Ensure maintenance of required load temperatures and load conditions.
* Ensure receipt of good pallets or PCV at delivery.
* Carry out security checks and ensure the security of vehicle and load.
* Carry out any other duties as laid down in the current issue of the ‘Driver’s Handbook’.
* Comply with company policies regarding ISO9002, BS7750, Health & Safety and Training.
Requirements:
* Previous experience driving an HGV
* Relevant licence to drive an HGV.
* Valid driver CPC
* A positive, flexible, can-do attitude
* A keen attention to detail and work accuracy.
* Good verbal communication skills
* Flexibility
* Willingness to do nights away is essential.
* For insurance purposes you must be 25 years of age or older and have held a licence for a minimum of 2 years.
