A long‑established precision engineering company in Nelson is looking to recruit a CNC Turner to support ongoing production and succession planning. With a highly experienced team member approaching retirement, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a stable, long‑term role with room to grow.
The Role
We are seeking a CNC Turner with strong setting and operating experience on Fanuc‑controlled lathes. The ideal candidate will also have some program editing or amending capability, although full programming experience is not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls
* Editing or amending programs where required
* Producing components to tight tolerances
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Maintaining quality and efficiency across production
* Supporting the wider machining team as part of succession planning
This role offers genuine long‑term stability and the chance to develop further programming skills over time.
