The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Are you an experienced Traffic Safety & Control Officer (TSCO) looking for your next opportunity with a leading Traffic Management contractor? We are currently recruiting skilled TSCOs to support a range of tarmacing contracts and Traffic Management projects across the Kent and South East area.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with a well-established contractor delivering highways, surfacing and Traffic Management schemes throughout the region.
The Role
As a Traffic Safety & Control Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all Traffic Management operations are carried out safely, efficiently and in compliance with industry regulations. You will be responsible for overseeing site safety, monitoring Traffic Management installations and supporting operational teams across multiple works programmes.
Typical Duties Will Include:
* Conducting site safety inspections and audits
* Monitoring Traffic Management operations on live highway works
* Supporting tarmacing and resurfacing projects
* Ensuring compliance with Chapter 8, NRSWA and Health & Safety requirements
* Carrying out site checks and quality inspections
* Reporting safety concerns, incidents and near misses
* Liaising with site teams, supervisors and clients
* Assisting with lane closures, road closures and temporary traffic light operations
* Ensuring safe working practices are maintained at all times
* Supporting a variety of Traffic Management projects across Kent

Essential Requirements
* Previous Traffic Management or Highways Experience
* TSCO Qualification
* NRSWA Unit 1 Signing, Lighting & Guarding (Desirable)
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Strong Health & Safety Knowledge
* Good Communication & Reporting Skills
