The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join one of our primary schools in West Northampton and join their Early Years team on a full-time basis. This opportunity would be to start as soon as possible on a short term temporary basis with the possibility of turning into a long term role. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality early years education, ensuring children receive the best possible start to their learning journey.
You will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. The primary school are committed in providing children's with a broad and balanced curriculum that enables them to develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding needed to become successful and independent learners.
Key Responsibilities
Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Create a safe, caring, and inclusive environment that promotes children's wellbeing and development
Encourage children's learning through play, exploration, and structured activities
Observe, assess, and record children's progress, contributing to learning journals and reports
Support children's communication, language, personal, social, and emotional development
Work collaboratively with teachers and Early Years staff to deliver a high-quality curriculum
Promote positive behaviour and support children in developing independence and confidence
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and carers to support learning and development
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times in line with school policy
Contribute to classroom preparation, organisation of resources, and learning environments
Specification
Minimum Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (essential)
Experience working within Early Years or nursery settings (school-based experience desirable)
Good understanding of the EYFS framework
Passionate about supporting children's early development and learning
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Caring, patient, and positive approach to working with young children
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
