Build a Business, Not Just Manage One
This isn't a traditional dealership Business Manager role.
Our client is a well-established specialist vehicle business with an excellent reputation within the commercial passenger transport sector. They are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded professional to take ownership of their growing used vehicle division.
This is a rare opportunity to shape and develop a business unit rather than simply inherit one. You'll have the autonomy to build processes, improve workflows, develop new revenue streams and create a scalable used vehicle operation, whilst taking full commercial responsibility for buying, selling and managing specialist vehicle stock.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you'll be responsible for the commercial success and continued growth of the used vehicle operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing the used vehicle strategy and identifying new commercial opportunities.
* Sourcing quality used minibuses, midicoaches and specialist commercial passenger vehicles through multiple acquisition channels.
* Appraising, valuing and purchasing stock.
* Managing pricing, margins, stock turn and profitability.
* Building relationships with fleet operators, local authorities, commercial customers, leasing companies, dealers and industry partners.
* Creating new business opportunities through proactive sales activity and relationship development.
* Working closely with Workshop, Parts, Marketing and Aftersales to ensure vehicles are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
* Introducing and refining processes, workflows and systems to support future growth.
* Producing sales forecasts and commercial performance reports.
About You
This role would suit someone with experience in areas such as:
* Commercial Vehicle Sales, Bus & Coach, Minibus Sales, Fleet Sales, LCV Sales, Vehicle Purchasing, Vehicle Remarketing and Specialist Vehicle Sales
You'll also demonstrate:
* Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
* Experience buying, valuing and selling used vehicles.
* The ability to identify opportunities and drive profitable growth.
* Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
* Experience improving processes and introducing structure within a business.
* A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to take ownership.
Whilst experience within specialist passenger transport would be advantageous, applications are welcomed from candidates with transferable experience across commercial vehicles, fleet, vans, trucks or specialist automotive sectors.
Package
* £45,000 - £55,000 basic salary (DOE)
* Performance-related bonus
* Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm
* Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm
