What We Offer
Salary:
Unqualified Lecturer: £29,294 per year, pro rata
Qualified Lecturer: £31,885 - £40,814 per year, pro rata (Depending on Skills, Qualifications & Experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time 22.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

What You’ll Do
* Teach and assess learners across a range of English programmes, including GCSE and Functional Skills
* Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that build literacy, comprehension, and communication skills
* Support learners with varying abilities, including those who may lack confidence in English
* Use creative and practical approaches to make English relevant to real-life contexts
* Maintain high standards of safeguarding, professionalism, and learner wellbeing
* Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
What You’ll Bring
* A relevant English qualification (Level 3 or above)
* Strong subject knowledge, including literacy, language, and/or literature
* The ability to explain concepts clearly and engage learners of all abilities
* Experience working with learners or supporting others in education or training
* Primary or secondary school teaching experience is advantageous
* A commitment to inclusive teaching and learner success
* A teaching qualification is welcomed — but if you don’t have one yet, we’ll support you to achieve it while you work
