THE ROLE
As an Experienced Multi-Skilled Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, painting and refinishing accident-damaged vehicles to a consistently high standard. The role will suit a technically capable Paint Technician who can utilise a broad range of bodyshop skills while maintaining excellent quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
·Prepare vehicles and panels for paint, including sanding, masking, priming and preparation
·Mix and apply modern automotive paint systems to the required specifications
·Carry out full and partial resprays, colour matching, blending and refinishing
·Complete polishing and finishing work to achieve a high-quality factory-style finish
·Undertake multi-skilled bodyshop duties where required to support efficient vehicle repair
·Inspect completed repairs and rectify any imperfections where necessary
·Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians and Workshop Controllers
·Follow manufacturer repair methods, quality standards and Health & Safety procedures
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and quality-focused Multi-Skilled Painter who takes pride in producing exceptional finishes and consistently delivering first-class workmanship.
·Proven experience as a Painter, Paint Sprayer, Paint Technician or Automotive Paint Technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop
·Glasurit 100 line experience
·Prestige Manufacturer experience
·Strong knowledge of modern automotive paint systems and refinishing techniques
·Experience with colour matching, blending and full/partial vehicle resprays
·Strong preparation skills with excellent attention to detail
·Multi-skilled bodyshop experience with the ability to support wider repair activities
·Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
·Comfortable working to deadlines, production targets and agreed repair times
·Strong team player with a professional and positive attitude
·IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous but not essential
·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
