About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor for a secondary school in the Chesterfield area for the 2026/27 year. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cover Supervisor to gain a full-time role.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work to students in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising classes during teacher absences
Delivering lesson materials and instructions provided by teaching staff
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Supporting students to stay on task with their work
Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and any issues
Requirements:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence in managing groups of young people
A flexible and proactive approach
Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
A degree or relevant qualification (preferred)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
