We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trader to join a well-established social housing contractor covering the Hastings area.
This is a permanent opportunity for a skilled Multi Trader with experience carrying out repairs and maintenance within occupied and void social housing properties. Due to the location of the works, candidates must live within approximately 10-15 miles of Hastings town centre.
The role offers a varied workload across reactive and planned maintenance, carrying out a range of day-to-day repairs within residential properties. We are looking for candidates with a strong core trade and experience across a variety of maintenance disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance within social housing properties
Working on both occupied and void properties
Basic carpentry including door repairs, skirting, architraves and kitchen adjustments
Basic plumbing repairs including taps, toilets and pipework
Patch plastering and making good
Minor tiling repairs and replacements
Painting and decorating where required
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
Accurately updating jobs and completing reports using a PDA systemRequirements:
Proven experience as a Multi Trader within the social housing or property maintenance sector
Experience working in occupied and void properties
Good all-round knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, plastering and general maintenance
Previous experience using a PDA or handheld device to manage workloads
Full UK Driving Licence
