The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a vibrant and diverse college environment, supporting students across a range of subjects and specialist departments. The college offers a variety of unique and niche courses, meaning no two days are ever the same. From practical and vocational learning to creative and academic subjects, you will have the opportunity to support students in a truly varied setting.
The successful candidates will support learners with a range of additional needs including SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, anxiety and communication difficulties. You will work closely with teaching staff and wider support teams to help students access learning, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
The college is looking for compassionate, adaptable and proactive individuals who are passionate about supporting young people within education. Previous experience within schools, colleges, care, youth work, support work or similar settings would be highly beneficial.
The ideal candidate will:
Be confident supporting students on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
Be calm, patient and resilient when supporting learners with additional needs
Work well as part of a wider support team
