How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electronics Design Engineer

A growing engineering and technology company is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to support the development of new electronic assemblies and embedded hardware products for demanding industrial applications.

This is a hands-on development role focused on the design, development and testing of robust electronic circuitry that will be integrated into mechanical sensor and instrumentation packages operating within challenging real-world environments.

The role will involve taking low-voltage electronic devices and ASIC-based designs and developing supporting circuitry capable of operating from wider industrial supply ranges whilst meeting EMC and compliance requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop analogue and mixed-signal electronic assemblies
    • Develop circuitry to interface low-voltage electronics with 12–36VDC industrial power systems
    • Support PCB design, schematic capture and hardware development activities
    • Carry out hardware debugging, validation and testing
    • Contribute to EMC-conscious electronic design and compliance activities
    • Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams including mechanical and production engineering
    • Support product development from concept through to manufacture

    Requirements:

    • Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering or similar
    • Strong background in analogue and mixed-signal electronics design
    • Experience designing power conditioning and protection circuitry
    • Good understanding of EMC/EMI mitigation techniques
    • Experience with industrial or embedded electronic product development
    • Experience of schematic capture and PCB design tools
    • Hands-on approach to hardware development and testing

Any experience in the following would be beneficial:

    • Sensor electronics
    • ASIC integration
    • Industrial communication interfaces
    • Automotive or harsh-environment electronics
    • DC-DC converters and power supply design
    • Embedded systems

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established engineering business developing technically challenging products within a collaborative environment.
