Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00, with occasional overtime and weekend working as required

Transport Consultant - The Role:

Working within our expanding Consulting division, you will report directly to the Consulting Manager. This varied role combines site-based surveying, CAD design work, and direct client liaison. You will assess routes for abnormal load transport movements, primarily wind turbine and renewable energy components, across the UK and occasionally Europe. The role requires site visits, route planning, topographical surveys and desktop studies using industry-standard tools.

Transport Consultant - Key Responsibilities:

- Create route assessment reports and audits using CAD software for swept path analysis

- Carry out land-based surveying using calibrated instruments and conduct topographical surveys

- Design and review loading and transport methods using 2D and 3D AutoCAD

- Communicate directly with clients, drivers, local authorities and site contractors

- Undertake desktop studies using online mapping tools and attend trial runs once competent

- Plan routes for delivery of out-of-gauge components including wind turbine and renewable energy equipment

Transport Consultant - You:

- Qualified to A Level standard or equivalent, with knowledge of transport, engineering or surveying standards

- Experienced with CDM regulations and proficient in 2D and 3D AutoCAD

- Self-motivated, well-organised team player with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail

- Possess good mechanical or civil engineering knowledge

- Hold a valid UK driving licence and passport for UK and European travel
