The Role
As a Teacher of English, you will:
Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Inspire students through the study of literature, language, and creative writing.
Plan and deliver lessons that challenge, engage, and support learners of all abilities.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress to ensure strong outcomes.
Develop students' reading comprehension, analytical thinking, and written communication skills.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
Support enrichment opportunities, including reading programmes, theatre visits, writing competitions, and extracurricular clubs.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching English across KS3 and KS4.
Excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English Language and Literature.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
High expectations of student achievement and progress.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
