Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, analysis, and optimisation of mechanical systems in manufacturing and processing operations.
Manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and process teams to resolve complex mechanical challenges.
Develop specifications, mechanical documentation, and maintenance strategies for equipment and systems.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Champion continuous improvement and innovative engineering practices within operations.Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Typically 8 years’ experience in mechanical engineering within industrial or chemical manufacturing environments.
Proven expertise in mechanical design, stress analysis, rotating and static equipment, and system optimisation.
Strong project management skills and experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
Familiarity with relevant mechanical codes, standards, and process safety requirements.
Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to influence and mentor across teams.
