(Outside IR35) – £25ph
Immediate start. Ongoing contract with strong chance of extension.
We're looking for a hands-on Vehicle Technician to join a specialist defence vehicle programme in Coventry. This isn't standard automotive assembly, you'll be building and fitting mechanical and electrical systems on low-volume, high-spec military vehicles where the work actually matters.
What you'll be doing:
* Assembling and fitting sub-systems to tight tolerances, working from technical drawings and work instructions
* Using specialist tools and equipment, checking your own work for accuracy
* Working alongside Production, Engineering and R&D, not in a silo
What you'll need:
* City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Automotive, Mechanical or Vehicle Systems
* Solid experience in mechanical fitting or low-volume vehicle assembly
* Confident reading engineering drawings and schematics
* Comfortable in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment
Bonus points for:
* Military, HGV or off-highway vehicle experience
* Electrical integration or sub-system installation
Hours: 08:00-16:35 Mon-Thu, 08:00-15:10 Fri.
£25ph, outside IR35. If you don't tick every box but have strong mechanical fitting experience, get in touch anyway.
