The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We're seeking an experienced Senior Quality Inspector to join a precision engineering/manufacturing environment. This hands‑on role oversees inspection activity, ensures product quality, and supports continuous improvement across production.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily inspection activities including first‑off, in‑process, and final inspections.
Carry out fine limit sheet metal inspection using a range of measuring equipment.
Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
Maintain inspection records, non‑conformance reports and inspection plans.
Mentor junior inspectors and support resource planning on the shop floor.
Work within ISO 9001 standards and assist with audits.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Ensure measuring equipment calibration and maintenance.
Provide clear quality reports to production and management teams.Skills & Experience
5+ years in an ISO 9001 manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
Strong fine limit sheet metal inspection experience.
Proven background in senior/lead inspection roles.
Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and GD&T.
Proficient with manual inspection tools; CMM experience beneficial.
Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving and communication skills.
Experience coaching or guiding small teams.Desirable
Formal quality/inspection qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, etc.).
