We’re looking for a Buyer to take ownership of a high-profile chilled food category, leading sourcing strategy, supplier partnerships, and commercial performance. This is a role where insight meets influence, balancing market trends, customer needs, and margin delivery to build a standout product range.
What you’ll be doing:
🔹 Own the category strategy – Develop and execute a forward-thinking procurement plan across UK and international suppliers
🔹 Build powerful supplier relationships – Drive value, service, and long-term partnerships across a global network
🔹 Protect and grow margin – Navigate cost pressures, currency shifts, and market volatility with confidence

🔹 Collaborate cross-functionally – Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain to deliver growth
🔹 Champion quality & compliance – Ensure products meet the highest food safety and certification standards
🔹 Optimise supply & demand – Keep shelves stocked, minimise waste, and manage seasonal peaks
🔹 Drive performance – Use data, insights, and benchmarking to keep suppliers competitive and innovative
What we’re looking for:
✔️ Proven experience as a Senior Buyer (ideally within dairy, chilled foods, or FMCG)
✔️ A genuine passion for food
✔️ Strong commercial acumen with a track record of improving margins
✔️ Experience working with international suppliers and complex supply chains
✔️ Sharp analytical skills—comfortable interpreting market trends and cost drivers
✔️ A natural collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
