Overview:
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Workshop Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to support a growing South West operation, carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a fleet of rental generators.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on diesel generators.
Diagnose faults and complete repairs on rental generators, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring company work areas are clean, safe, and well organised.
Comply with company quality, environmental, energy management, and health & safety procedures.
Deliver excellent customer service while building positive working relationships with customers and colleagues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the success of the engineering team.
Skills and Qualifications:
Relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting, Plant Maintenance, or a similar discipline (e.g. City & Guilds or BTEC), or completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
Proven experience servicing and repairing generator sets, particularly FG Wilson, Cummins, or similar equipment.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
ECS, CSCS or CCNSG card is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
