Specialist, ambitious Law Firm in Redditch seeks a confident Legal Secretary to provide high‑quality secretarial and administrative support to Directors and Fee Earners across all departments. Joining a team of dedicated professionals, your role as Legal Secretary would be to provide effective secretarial and administrative support to Directors and Fee Earners across all departments.
Offered as a permanent contract, the position of Legal Secretary is a full-time role (Monday to Friday) with competitive salary, dependent upon experience and immediate start available. Ideal candidate would possess previous Family legal experience (not essential however), ability to audio type, be highly organised, reliable and have excellent attention to detail.
Duties required of Legal Secretary:
* Provide secretarial and administrative support to Fee Earners
* Audio and copy typing of correspondence, legal documents, file notes and related materials
* Maintain accurate electronic files using ALB case management system in line with SQM/CQS procedures
* Handle client contact professionally in person and by telephone, recording and passing on messages promptly
* Manage diaries, appointments and meeting arrangements
* Assist with reception/switchboard cover on a rota basis
* Attend relevant training and departmental meetings
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and positively represent the firm
Skills and attributes required by Legal Secretary:
* Previous Legal Secretary experience (Family Law desirable)
* Strong audio typing; 60–70 wpm with accuracy
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Highly organised, reliable and detail‑focused
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours: Monday – Friday 8.50am–5.00pm (35 hours)
Salary: £24,000 to £28,000 dependent upon experience
