TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school based in North Birmingham, who are looking to appoint a Health and Social Care Teacher. This school has high expectations at the heart of its ethos, with a commitment to raising standards in achievement, behaviour, attendance and personal development. The school believes every student can achieve and provides the support and challenge needed to help students make strong progress.
The school is looking to take on a driven Health and Social Care Teacher on a long-term basis to cover a staff absence. The successful Health and Social Care Teacher will be teaching KS4 and KS5 Health and Social Care, with some Hospitality lessons included, delivering engaging lessons with clear explanations, expert modelling, purposeful questioning and effective feedback.
The successful Health and Social Care Teacher will have:
• QTS with a Health and Social Care specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Health and Social Care at KS4 and KS5 level
• Experience teaching in a secondary school environment
• Strong classroom management skills
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-informed teaching
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
