How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Warehouse Team Leader

    Location: Birmingham
    Pay: £15.00 per hour | £16.20 per hour after 10pm
    Shifts: 10:00–18:00 / 18:00–02:00
    Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7, on a weekly rota
    Contract: Permanent

    Our client is a major global logistics partner supporting one of the world's leading social commerce platforms. Due to continued growth, they are looking for experienced Warehouse Team Leaders to join their brand-new, state-of-the-art distribution centre in Birmingham.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who is looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role within a fast-paced, high-volume operation.

    The Role

    As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring daily operational targets, productivity and service levels are achieved.

    You'll take a hands-on approach to managing your team, allocating workloads, maintaining standards and supporting the smooth running of inbound, outbound and despatch operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve daily targets and service levels.
    Allocate tasks and workloads effectively across the team.
    Monitor team performance, productivity and attendance.
    Provide coaching, training and ongoing support to team members.
    Ensure all warehouse processes and procedures are followed correctly.
    Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping and compliance.
    Ensure correct use of PPE and warehouse equipment.
    Support inventory accuracy, stock checks and stocktakes.
    Identify and report operational issues and implement solutions where appropriate.
    Support continuous improvement initiatives across the warehouse.
    Work closely with other Team Leaders and management to ensure operational targets are achieved.
    Promote a positive, professional and collaborative working environment.

    What We're Looking For

    We're looking for an experienced and confident Warehouse Team Leader who can demonstrate:

    Minimum 1 year's experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
    Experience across inbound, outbound and despatch operations.
    The ability to lead, motivate and develop a team effectively.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    A proactive, hands-on approach to warehouse management.
    The ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
    Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
    A good understanding of warehouse health & safety procedures.
    The ability to work flexibly across a 5-out-of-7-day rota.

    Shift & Pay

    Day Shift: 10:00–18:00 — £15.00 per hour

    Evening Shift: 18:00–02:00 — £15.00 per hour, increasing to £16.20 per hour for hours worked after 22:00

    Candidates must be available to work 5 days out of 7, with working days organised through a weekly rota.
